WebP to JPG: questions
How do I convert WebP to JPG?
Convert them in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. On tuul.io/webp-to-jpg/ you add your WebP images and download the JPG files, one by one or all as a ZIP.
What is the difference between WebP and JPG?
WebP is Google's web image format. Websites use it because files are small, but many apps, older editors and upload forms still don't accept it. JPG is the most widely supported photo format. It keeps files small but has no transparency.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, so your images never leave your device.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
JPG can't store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the colour you choose (white by default). Convert to PNG instead if you need to keep transparency.
Is there a limit on how many images I can convert?
No. Everything runs on your device, so the only limit is your device's memory. Hundreds of images at once is fine on a computer.
