Crop an image
Drag a box over the part of the photo you want to keep, or type the exact size in pixels, and download the cropped image. Shapes such as 1:1, 4:5 and 16:9 keep the box in proportion, and the same crop can be used for a whole batch of photos. It all happens in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

Crop image: questions
How do I crop a photo online without uploading it?
Use a cropper that runs in your browser. On tuul.io/crop-image/ you add the photo, drag the box over the part to keep and download the result; the photo is cropped on your device and never sent anywhere.
How do I crop a photo to a square?
Choose the 1:1 square shape on tuul.io/crop-image/: the box becomes the largest square that fits, and you drag it over the part you want. Instagram portrait posts use 4:5, and stories use 9:16.
Can I crop to an exact size in pixels?
Yes. Type the width and height, and the distance from the left and top, into the fields under the photo. With a shape chosen, typing the width sets the height to match.
Can I crop many photos the same way?
Yes. Add photos of the same size together, set the crop once on the first one, and every photo is cropped the same way; download them all as a ZIP. Photos of a different shape get a button to crop them on their own.
Does cropping reduce the quality?
The pixels you keep stay the same. JPG and WebP are saved again at the quality you choose, 90% by default, which looks the same as the original; PNG keeps every pixel.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The cropper runs in your browser, so your photos stay on your device.
