Resize photos: questions
How do I resize many images at once?
Use a bulk resizer that gives every image the same settings. On tuul.io you add all the images, choose the size (for example 1080 × 1080 or 50%) and download the results as one ZIP; the resizing happens in your browser.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The resizer runs in your browser, so your photos are read and resized on your own device and never sent to a server.
How do I make all my images the same size?
Choose Exact width and height, enter the size, then pick how to fit pictures with a different shape: crop them to fill the size, add borders, or stretch them.
How do I resize images for Instagram?
Choose Aspect ratio and pick 4:5 for portrait posts or 1:1 for square posts. For an exact 1080 × 1350 pixel size, choose Exact width and height with Crop to fill.
Will resizing reduce quality?
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. For JPG and WebP you can set the quality; 80–90% is a good balance between file size and quality. Enlarging small images makes them blurry, so that's off by default.
Is there a limit on the number or size of images?
There's no limit set by us. Very large batches depend on your device's memory, so a computer handles more at once than a phone.
Can I resize HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Yes, in any current browser. Safari opens HEIC itself; in Chrome, Edge and Firefox a HEIC decoder downloads once, with the first photo, and runs on your device. With Same as original, HEIC photos are saved as JPG, because browsers can't save HEIC.
